Cake Balls

I recently heard about something that I knew immediately I had to try.  Cake Balls!  Apparently these little wonders are all the rage right now.  They are quite simple to make.  I'm going to make some this weekend for a get together on Sunday.  I'll report back on how they turn out.

Cake Mix (any flavor)
Frosting (any flavor)
1 pkg. almond bark (chocolate coating)
sprinkles, chopped nuts, kosher salt etc.

Pick any cake flavor and frosting combination that you like.  Bake the cake according to package instructions.
Cool cake and then crumble into fine crumbs.  Mix entire container of frosting with cake crumbs.  You will have a pretty nasty looking bowl of "goop"   Scoop the cake mixture with a spoon or small cookie scoop to form balls the size of a walnut.  Place cake balls on a cookie sheet and put in freezer for 20-30 minutes.
Meanwhile, melt almond bark according to package instructions.  When cake balls are firm dip each ball in the chocolate coating.  Sprinkle with nuts, sprinkles or salt. (Optional)
